Our journey commences with the first light of day in Marrakech, and as we savor a hearty breakfast, we set forth on a captivating drive through the High Atlas Mountains. The Tizi-n-Tichka pass at an elevation of 2260 meters unfolds before us, offering breathtaking views of the Berber villages nestled in the mountainous terrain. A highlight awaits at Ait Ben Haddou, a historic marvel and UNESCO-listed site that has graced the silver screen in iconic films. The day unfolds with a traverse through the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, Kalaat Mgouna, and culminates in the enchanting Gorges of Dades, where dinner awaits against the backdrop of these captivating rock formations.

As the morning sun graces the Gorges of Dades, we embark on another day of exploration. The incredible rock formation known as “the monkey” beckons, unveiling a natural wonder steeped in history. Our journey leads us to Erfoud, renowned for its exquisite dates, and further to Rissani for a midday repast. The golden dunes of Merzouga emerge on the horizon, a surreal landscape that promises a unique experience. Here, camels patiently await, and a cup of mint tea becomes a prelude to an evening in a local hotel or riad, surrounded by the serenity of the Sahara.

After a leisurely breakfast, the day unfolds with an exploration of the Merzouga region. Our discoveries include the Gnawi village, a locale imbued with unique cultural richness, the picturesque Merzouga lake with its graceful flamingos, and artisanal craft houses. The afternoon heralds a camel trek, a quintessential experience guided by seasoned hands, offering an intimate encounter with the mesmerizing sand-sea of Erg Chebbi. The day gracefully concludes in a traditional tent, where the tranquil desert night becomes the backdrop for a delightful dinner.
